Improved mirroring and rotation functions for linear quadtree leaves

摘要

A set of operations on location codes is derived which perform discrete rotations and reflections of objects defined by linear quadtrees. The operations have equal or greater time efficiency than those previously published. The derivation of the operations provides further insight into the nature of linear quadtree location codes and their manipulation. This paper is a supplement to a paper on the same subject published previously in this journal by one of the authors.
