CODASYL FORTRAN Data Base facility: Version 2.0 of the CODASYL FORTRAN data base committee

This document summarizes a facility to allow the FORTRAN user to manipulate a data base. It is compatible with the CODASYL Data Description Language Journal of Development (DDL[3]), the CODASYL COBOL Journal of Development(COBOL[6]) and the new ANSI FORTRAN standard (FORTRAN[1]). This journal describes in detail the syntax and semantics of a set of data manipulation language (DML) statements and Sub-schema data description language (DDL) statements intended to be in the spirit of FORTRAN.The document is intended to stand alone and to be as complete as possible in specifying a data base facility for FORTRAN.
