Information and documentation in the social sciences in the Socialist Republic of Romania

摘要

In the Socialist Republic of Romania information and documentation is a matter of state. Romanian research workers are enjoying state attention and backing in all the problems of scientific documentation and information. A telling evidence of this state of affairs is the very high appreciation given to this area by President Nicolae Ceausescu: “Scientific and technical information and documentation is a key factor in researchers' work, in scientific life as a whole”.
