An integrated database design for accounting systems†

摘要

This paper presents a methodology for data base design suitable for accounting usage. It is different from the articles that have appeared in the accounting literature so far in that it addresses all issues involved in a complete design process, rather than dealing with only a fraction of them. The procedure ensures non-redundancy of data as well as efficient update properties at the logical level, and cost optimality at the physical level.
