The decomposition method for forward and backward time-dependent problems

摘要

The convergence of the decomposition method as applied to time-dependent problems governed by the heat, wave and beam equations is investigated for both forward (direct) and backward (inverse) problems. It is shown that for forward problems the convergence is faster than for backward problems.
