摘要

Human factors which predict successful patient-computer interaction were investigated. Successful interaction was determined by three outcome variables: interview completion, ease, and enjoyment. The results, based on a sample of 153 psychiatric inpatients, indicate that patients, in general, respond well to computerized assessment procedures, but also highlight predictors of potential difficulties with interactive computerized assessments. Identification of contributing factors depends on the nature of the outcome measure employed. Some suggestions are made for incorporating a screening section at the beginning of computerized interactive assessments.
