Video traffic analysis using scene and vehicle models

•We present a complete method for real-time video traffic analysis.•An off-line phase allows to identify a scene model.•An online phase allows to identify the vehicles׳ trajectories.•The use of the scene model allows to significantly improve the quality of the online process.•An application to extract semantic information useful for traffic analysis is proposed.
