Detecting mental fatigue from eye-tracking data gathered while watching video: Evaluation in younger and older adults

作者:

Highlights:

• We devised a novel model to detect mental fatigue of younger and older adults in natural viewing situations.

• We collected eye-tracking data from younger and older adults who watched video clips before and after performing cognitive tasks.

• Our model improved accuracy by up to 13.9% compared with a model based on the previous studies, and it achieved 91.0% accuracy (chance 50%), despite there being age-related changes in the eye-tracking measures.
