作者:

Highlights:

• We study a raw database of all CVs posted in the Lattes platform, for all subject areas.

• The scientific output between areas of science is heterogeneous in terms of quantity and expected impact.

• We find that male researchers are more productive than female, but only when looking at the quantity of publications.

• Researchers with PhD obtained abroad are more likely to publish in journals of higher impact.

• The time duration of the PhD has a positive impact over the expected impact but negative for the quantity of publications.
