About this organization
The full name of LAION is Large-scale Artificial Intelligence Open Network, which is a non-profit AI research organization. Committed to providing datasets, tools, and models to promote open and public education in machine learning research, and to encourage greener resource use by reusing existing datasets and models.
LAION AI's more famous work is the opening of the LAION series of data sets, including 5 billion multi-language image-text pair data sets, 400 million English version image-text pair data sets, etc.
Their latest work is to train OpenAssistant’s AI chat model, which is fine-tuned based on LLaMA. Completely open source.
