About this organization
Replit is a company that provides tools to run and share code online in a variety of programming languages, including Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Java, and more. The company builds simple tools and platforms for educators, learners, and developers. Replit was founded in San Francisco in 2016 by programmers Amjad Masad and Faris Masad and designer Haya Odeh. Replit claims to be "the first fully online multiplayer computing environment" that allows anyone to start coding with minimal preparation and no downloads. It's a bit like Google Docs, but for coding.
On April 26, 2023, Replit officially announced the results of its Series B financing, raising US$97.4 million at a valuation of US$1.16 billion. At the same time, it was announced that Replit is using LLaMA to fine-tune its own large code generation model, claiming that it can surpass all open source programming large models after training on a code data set of 525 billion tokens in 10 days. The model is called Replit-Code-V1-3B: https://www.datalearner.com/ai-models/pretrained-models/replit-code-v1-3b
The official announced that the model will be open sourced in the future~
