• Based on implicit theory method, Graduate students’ creative professional virtual community behavior was found included three categories: Knowledge & Networking Behavior, Behave Manner, and Interactivity.

• The regression results demonstrate that after controlling graduate students’ intrinsic motivation and creative self-efficacy, students’ Knowledge & Networking Behavior as well as Behave Manner both significantly predicted their creativity. However, Students’ Interactivity behavior in PVCs did not significantly affect students’ creativity.
