Success is not enough: challenges to sustaining new forms of educational activity

Establishing a Fifth Dimension activity system in a community institution and an associated university course may be enough to get activity going, but it may not be sufficient to keep it going. We provide two examples of systems that existed for some time and then failed, despite evidence of their effectiveness. One was in California, the other in Michigan.
